Heritage Arts Auchmithie Residents (Haar) Festival organisers expressed their delight at the response to this year’s event, which they described as the “best year yet”.
Around 200 people turned up to see a fisher wedding complete with piper and fisher folk doing their washing and baiting the lines.
There was a tea room at the village hall as well as a flower festival and arts and crafts and a display of archive material.
Stuart Scott smoked fish, while scones and refreshments were served in the village hall. A Haar spokesman said the group had hired radio microphones this year to enhance the performances.
He said: “We realised that our audience numbers were growing every year and that it was becoming difficult for those at the back of the crowd to hear.
“This year was a trial investment for our community group in fairly expensive technology.
“Feedback for visitors however confirms this was a greatly appreciated improvement and we hope this will become a permanent feature for future Haar festivals.”
