Police hunt duo after man beaten up outside Arbroath council buildings

Police are hunting two suspects who assaulted a man outside the council buildings in Arbroath.
The incident took place on January 7 but information on the two men police are looking for has now emerged.
A 39-year-old man was repeatedly punched and kicked and sustained a number of minor injuries in the attack outside Bruce House.
A spokesman for Police Scotland, Tayside Division said: “About 8.50pm on Tuesday January 7, a 39-year-old man was assaulted by two men outside the Angus Council buildings at Bruce House in Arbroath.
“The men engaged him in conversation before they repeatedly punched and kicked him, knocking him to the ground. He sustained a number of minor injuries as a result of the assault.
“The men responsible ran off eastwards in Wellgate, across the railway line, and south into Orchard Street where they were lost to view.”
The suspects are thought to be between 16 and 20. One is described as being 5ft 10in, the other 5ft 5in.
Both were wearing dark grey zipped-up hooded tops, black tammy hats and dark tracksuit bottoms.
