A week after a masked Angus shop raid – police will return to the scene of the robbery.
Detectives and uniformed officers will be in the Brothock Bridge area of Arbroath from midday on Friday in an effort to gather further information to assist enquiries.
A man walked into Declaration in Brothock Bridge at about 3pmlast Fridayand damaged shop fittings before demanding cash from the frightened 48-year-old woman who was working there at the time.
He made off with a three-figure sum of cash and Detective Inspector Gary Ogilvie said police want anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
“There has been significant enquiry to date with a number of witnesses being spoken with and a review of public and private CCTV, but we know the area was busy last Friday, both with cars and pedestrians and someone who hasn’t yet been in touch could hold vital information that could help us to trace the person responsible.
“We’ll be in the area tomorrow and hope that anyone who sees us and who was in the Marketgate area seven days ago makes themselves known to us.”
