Former community councillor admits loofah revenge bid against estranged husband
ByRichard Watt
A former Angus community councillor has admitted putting a sign in her kitchen window accusing her estranged husband of performing a bizarre sex act with a loofah sponge.
Wendy Law, 63, was to appear for trial at Forfar Sheriff Court today but submitted a plea of guilty to the breach of the peace offence at Eastmill Brae Cottages in Brechin on June 3.
The court heard Law put the sign in full view of passers-by in a bid to embarrass husband Mark after they broke up.
The display was seen by Mark Law’s new partner, and police were informed.
Law’s solicitor asked Sheriff Kevin Veal for an absolute discharge so that she could continue as a community councillor, but this was refused.
Sentence was deferred until October 3 for the preparation of reports and Law’s bail was continued.
