School buses cancelled as Angus struggles through flooding
ByRob McLaren
The Angus road network remains under severe pressure as the county continues to reel from this week’s flooding.
School bus services have been affected with several roads still out of operation.
The K/1 service to Airlie Primary and the 128 service to Websters High School in Kirriemuir have been cancelled and some buses to Monifieth High and Liff Primary will operate a reduced service.
Community hubs are also counting the cost of the effects of Storm Frank.
The internationally-renowned Jock Neish scouting centre near Tannadice has been flooded for the third time in the past two years.
The Scott Lodge in Glen Doll, which was built by the Boys Brigade and overlooks the South Esk, has also been badly affected by flooding in the surrounding hills.
There have been warnings further stress will be put on the region as fresh downpours hit.
