Certificate recipients from the Angus Community Health Partnership.
NHS volunteers in Angus were recognised for their hard work at a special event held in Forfar.
A reception at the town’s Reid Hall saw around 200 volunteers gather to be thanked personally by Alison Rogers, non-executive director of NHS Tayside, for the contribution they have made to the NHS.
The roles of the volunteers are diverse and include library assistants, pet volunteers, health walk leaders, gardeners and flower arrangers.
Mrs Rogers also presented awards to volunteers with five, 10 and 15 years’ volunteer service and a special award for 20 years plus service.
She said: “NHS Tayside is privileged to have input from volunteers from diverse backgrounds and with very different talents and skills who provide this important service in their community.
“We are thanking some of them here today, but we are also very grateful for the support received from other voluntary groups and organisations across Tayside. NHS Tayside will continue to encourage volunteering across the diverse range of its services recognising that this provides the added extra ingredient to support NHS Tayside staff in advancing patient services.”
