Darren Mann, 44, made a private appearance before Sheriff Veal at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday. He faces three charges of attempted murder, as well as breach of the peace, and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a samurai sword. The charges relate to an incident in Farnell, Angus, on Saturday. There was no motion for bail and the case was continued for further examination. Mann is expected to appear again at a later date.
