A man kicked his girlfriend “full force” in the face after a drunken row.
Jamie Mutch, 22, of Benholm Gardens, Forfar, appeared at Arbroath Sheriff Court on Monday and admitted assaulting the woman in the early hours of Sunday.
She had been out with friends and rumours had filtered back to him that she had been kissing other men.
Mutch sent her an abusive text demanding answers and she returned to the accused’s parents’ house to resolve the issue.
Fiscal Hazel Anderson said while the complainer was speaking to Mutch’s mother, he entered the room and a scuffle ensued.
“She ended up on the floor and he kicked her full force in the face while she was there,” the fiscal added.
The woman’s nose was left bleeding and bruised.
Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentence but warned Mutch that custody could be an option.
