The devastating scale of flooding caused by Storm Frank has been captured on video in Angus.
This footage taken near the A90 at Tannadice shows local roads completely submerged as a torrent of rain water floods the area.
Local man Scott Stewart shot the images at Justinhaugh near the junction for Kirriemuir, Forfar, Brechin and Baldoukie.
Fences, grass verges and walls have been swept away after the River South Esk burst its banks in spectacular fashion.
Angus Council has issued a warning for the local area and also communities around the River North Esk saying there is “serious cause for concern”.
Several properties in Logie Mill, Craigo and Marykirk areas have been evacuated as the river rises to its highest level in a decade in some places.
The council has deployed emergency response teams to the area to assist residents.
A rest centre has been established at Montrose Sports Centre in the town’s Marine Avenue.
The local authority is also closely monitoring the rising levels of the River South Esk, with a particular focus on Brechin, Tannadice and Finavon.
Motorists are advised to drive according to the conditions and be extremely cautious around surface water.
Flooded routes include:The B955 at Glenclova, the B957 at Justinhaugh Milton Park at Finavon Water is very high at Tannadice and sandbags are being dispensed the B966. The road above Edzell is passable with care. The A937 is closed at Marykirk. Flooding at Craigo. Sandbags have been issued at Logie.
