An Angus teenager forced another male to withdraw cash at an ATM before robbing him, a court has heard.
Connor Sandeman, from Brechin, pushed and punched Jamie Miller in the town’s Swan Street before forcing him to use a cash machine and hand over his money.
Defending the 18-year-old at Forfar Sheriff Court, solicitor Grant Bruce tendered a plea of guilty as libelled, subject to deleting the theft of a mobile phone from the charge, which was accepted by the Crown.
Previous convictions were admitted.
Deferring sentence to August 6 for the preparation of reports, visiting Sheriff Reid said: “Given the nature of the offence and his previous convictions, I’ll need to get more information.”
Sandeman, of Golf Road Park, admitted pushing and striking Jamie Miller on the face, forcing him to attend a cash machine and robbing him of cash, a wallet and its contents.
