Mearns Junior Apprentice finalist Kirsty Cleaver has landed her first job since the hit BBC show with a local food firm.
Described as one of the tycoons of tomorrow, the 18-year-old beat 28,000 applicants to make it onto the show, then made it to the final four before she was called into the boardroom and told “You’re fired” by Lord Alan Sugar.
However, food ingredients manufacturer Macphie of Glenbervie soon wooed Kirsty with helping launch a range of posh puddings.
She said, “It’s a great opportunity for me and is really exciting. I am having fun and there is no-one here as scary as Lord Sugar.”
Kirsty will have an eight-week placement before she begins a degree in international business management at Napier University in September.
