A learner motorcyclist led police on a 50mph chase through Carnoustie before smashing into a moving car.
David Torrie, 23, of Woodside Terrace in Carnoustie, appeared at Arbroath Sheriff Court on Tuesday following the pursuit on March 27.
He admitted riding in a dangerous and erratic manner, veering into the opposing lane, failing to give way or stop and colliding with both a stationary and moving vehicle.
Torrie further admitted he had no insurance and no learner plates on display.
The court heard the chase began near Carnoustie High School.
Depute fiscal Hazel Anderson said Torrie was driving an orange motorcycle, which he owns.
She said police activated the blue lights of their patrol car and sounded the sirens in a bid to stop him.
Torrie then led a high-speed tour of Carnoustie before colliding with the two vehicles and disappearing from view.
Sheriff Peter Paterson fined Torrie £350 and disqualified him for nine months.
