Racist and lewd graffiti has been painted on roads and bins in Arbroath.
Vandals used blue spray-paint to target parts of Abbotsford Road, Benedict Road and Great Michael Road over the weekend.
The vandalism was reported to Angus Council by councillor Martyn Geddes, who spotted the distasteful words and images while visiting friends.
He said: “I sent pictures to the council department who are now dealing with it. When an area gets covered in graffiti it tends to attract more graffiti.
“If children get the idea it is going to be cleaned up right away then that will hopefully discourage them.”
Local resident JJ Christine said graffiti was sprayed on her bin around a month ago.
She added: “It was removed before but now it seems the same person has come back again.”
The latest spate of vandalism follows political slogans being daubed across the pillars at the entrance to Victoria Park.
