Forfar has forged a new sporting connection with far-flung Guyana on the back of the beautiful game.
The tie has been made between the Forfar Farmington Girls and the village of Wauna on northern coast of South America, where one of the Angus players is involved in a gap year project.
Amber Martin is helping Guyanan youngsters with their studies.
However, she was disappointed to learn they had virtually no kit to play football with.
A call home to her twin sister, Casey, unearthed a couple of spare sets of Farmington kit and they were packed into Casey’s suitcase for a recent visit to see how her sister was settling into the volunteer role.
The kits were used as soon as Casey arrived and both she and Amber have played, and hit the net, for their adopted Wauna team.
