A social media campaign in memory of a former Forfar FC player has met with an incredible response.
Former Forfar Athletic player Jack Syme, 20, was found dead on Kinnoull Hill near Perth last week after going missing from his Abernethy home.
The defender was nicknamed Cafu after the legendary AC Milan and Brazil full-back andthe hashtag #high5forcafu has been gathering pace on Twitter.Forfar FC youth coach Eddie Gray came up with the idea and posted a picture of himself giving a “high five for Cafu” on Facebook. It quickly spread through Instagram to Twitter and Eddie who coached Jack at Forfar managed to get big names involved, such as Kris Boyd, Lee McCulloch, Chris Burke and Steven Whittaker.Scotland internationals Darren Fletcher, Stevie May and Stevie Naismith have also given a “high five for Cafu” alongside Sporting Lisbon’s former Dundee United player Ryan Gauld.
Celtic stars Leigh Griffiths and Scott Brown and Rangers striker Kenny Miller are among the latest to have joined the tribute.

Jack, who played for the under-19 team last season, was in his third year with Forfar but had yet to break in to the first team at Station Park, starting the season on loan at St Andrews United.
Forfar FC manager Dick Campbell has also been pictured giving a high five for the 20-year-old defender.
