Police probe 41-year-old man’s ‘unexplained death’ in Forfar

A 41-year-old man has been found dead in an Angus flat.
Police were at an address in Restenneth Drive this morning following the “unexplained death” on Monday night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the man was discovered lying behind a door in the ground-floor property.
Neighbours reported a heavy police presence and saw paramedics entering the flat carrying equipment.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers attended at Restenneth Drive, Forfar, at 9.20pm on Monday June 17 following the sudden death of a 41-year-old man.
“It is being treated as unexplained at this time and as with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “It was reported that a male in his early 40s was behind a door and they were not getting a response.
“We dispatched an ambulance but the patient was beyond any help.”
