The deafening roar of almost 400 Harley-Davidson motorcycles filled the roads of Angus at the weekend.
Bikers from all over the UK descended on Brechin for the annual festival of the famous motorcycle brand.
A ride out from Brechin Castle past the Davidson ancestral home in nearby Aberlemno got the Harley-Davidson in the City event under way on Saturday.
A concert was held at the City Hall that evening, headlined by Bons Balls with support from Estrella and Guttergodz, after live music from Ballroom Gitz earlier in the afternoon.
Shops were decked out in the famous orange and black branding and a range of charity and commercial stalls were on offer.
Russ Bottomley, 48, an oil and gas worker from Arbroath, rode to the festival on his 883 sportster.
He said: “It’s the noise that people love. They sound like the tractor of the motorbike world.”
Mike Fenton, 48, an NDT aircraft component inspector from Carnoustie, said: “I suppose it’s the name that attracts people more than anything else.
“I bought mine for £1,750, stripped it down to the nuts and bolts and rebuilt it.”
Mike Barclay, 55, of Royal British Legion Scotland’s roads branch, said: “Being a biker is like being part of a huge family. If you have a bike and you meet someone with a bike then you know them instantly.”
Debbie Christie, 42, a transport manager from Montrose said: “It’s all about freedom and leather skin on skin.
“The camaraderie is the main aspect for the female biker and being able to hang out with the boys!”
