Police received a good response from members of the public in Arbroath when they returned to the scene of a masked robbery on Friday.
A man wearing a balaclava walked into legal high shop Declaration at Brothock Bridge at about 3pm last Friday.
He damaged shop fittings before demanding cash from a frightened 48-year-old worker before making off with a three-figure sum.
A week on from the robbery, four officers were stationed outside the shop and in the surrounding area. They asked passers-by if they were in the area last Friday and what they remembered from that time.
Constable Majid Zaveri said: “We are looking for people who may have been in the area last week to try come forward with any information that may be relevant to help progress our enquiries.
“We are stopping people as they pass the shop, seeing if they were in the area a week ago and asking what they recall from that time.
“We’ve had a good response from members of the public and our inquiries are still progressing.”
It is believed the man, who had a Scottish accent, passed the Central Bar and headed down Marketgate after leaving the shop.
He is 5ft 11in and stocky. At the time he wore a black balaclava, which may have had some sort of pattern on it. His brown eyes and bushy eyebrows could be seen underneath.
He also wore a black puffa-style jacket, black North Face gloves, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers with an electric blue pattern on them.
Anyone with information that could assist the police are asked to call 101 or speak to any officer. Information can also be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
