Montrose has been rocked by the tragic death of a three-year-old boy.
Sebastian Burns-Johnson died in his mother’s arms after being rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee from his Rutland Crescent home.
The family of the boy, known as Sebby, said they were too upset to talk but his mum Shona posted a heart-breaking tribute to her son on Facebook in the wake of last Thursday’s devastating loss.
She said: “I miss him rolling his eyes at me for telling him I love him all the time.”
Pictures of Sebby were posted in tribute, with friends adding their own sentiments.
Louisa Oliver said: “What a beautiful photo of your lovely little boy Shona. I was so sad to hear of his death and we are thinking of you and Molly and Daisy. You will have many lovely memories.”
The family described the youngster as a “much-loved and adored little man, who will be sorely missed by all his family”.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they had been called to the family address at 7am following reports of a three-year-old who had been sick all night and was going in and out of consciousness.
The child appeared to be choking and an ambulance arrived at the family home at 7.11am, arriving at Ninewells at 8am.
Montrose councillor Paul Valentine said: “I have every sympathy for the family. It is one of these events which unfortunately happen but is very tragic when it happens to a local close-knit community.”
