The family of a Montrose teenager who died suddenly on Monday have experienced “utter devastation” at their loss.
Denis Watters, who was 18, was found dead in a park on Monday and his family said they are still trying to understand what happened.
Mr Watters’ sister Stacey, 22, said he would “take the answers with him”.
She said: “He was just a great person. He had a soft heart. He let his feelings take over him.”
The Condor Crescent resident was found at around 5am on Monday in Condor Park by a man on his way to work.
His father Tony, 43, said: “We love him, we miss him and I can’t believe this happened.”
“I am filled with immense pride that my wee boy touched so many lives and was so loved, but filled with utter devastation that such a promising life ended so abruptly.
“I would urge anyone out there struggling to cope with something, a broken heart or whatever, to reach out to someone. I love you son and will never stop.”
The former Montrose Academy pupil had worked at nightclubs in the town and Dundee.
Stacey said: “He was so well liked by so many people. We were his family but he made family everywhere he went.
“Thank you to everyone who has given Denis a thought and sent flowers.”
