An Angus man has appeared in court in connection with an alleged weekend dangerous driving incident.
Shawn Kenny, 39, of Restenneth Drive, Forfar, appeared from custody at the town’s sheriff court on Tuesday and made no plea or declaration to a total of 11 charges.
The charges allege that on Saturday he drove dangerously in the vicinity of South Street, was unfit to drive through drink and/or drugs, failed to stop after a road incident, and failed to report the incident.
Kenny also faces a number of drug-related charges. These allege that on Saturday he was found to be concerned in the supply and production of cannabis, that he was in possession of heroin; and was concerned in the possession and production of cannabis on a different date and at a different location.
Kenny was remanded in custody and is due to reappear in court next week.
