If you are an Angus couple who can answer to the names Victoria and Albert there may be a treat in store later this month.
The Royal Bath and West, one of the oldest agricultural shows in the UK, this year celebrates its 150th anniversary and is looking to treat a couple who share the same names as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
The winning couple will receive a right royal day out for the show’s opening on Wednesday May 29, with paid-for travel to the Shepton Mallet showground in Somerset and a night in a four-star hotel.
They will also receive VIP treatment at the show, including participating in the cutting of a celebratory Victoria sandwich cake. The couple will also dress in full period Victorian costume for a professional photography sitting.
Show manager Alan Lyons said: “We are no strangers to a royal presence at the Royal Bath and West, and our intention is to welcome our Victoria and Albert with a similar level of respect and hospitality.”
Couples can email julie.kitching@bathandwest.co.uk and the winners will be picked from a hat after the closing date of May 17.
