Arbroath’s Webster Theatre secures two-night run by comedian Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges arrives at the Channel 4 Comedy Gala at the O2 in London.
Comedy superstar Kevin Bridges is to perform two warm-up shows in Arbroath ahead of his massive UK tour.
The Glasgow funnyman will try out new material at the Webster Memorial Theatre on June 4 and 5, following up the huge success of his sell-out UK and Ireland tour of 2010.
It is understood that the theatre’s programmer has been been working for months behind the scenes to lure Bridges to the venue.
The news was announced on the theatre’s website on Tuesday as tickets went on sale and word of mouth quickly spread with fans arriving during the day to snap up the £20 briefs.
The tickets for both Arbroath nights have already sold out.
Bridges’ Autumn 2012 UK and Ireland tour smashed box office records for opening day ticket sales. A staggering 45,000 tickets were sold on the first day.
