MEARNS residents are being asked for their input into a significant new Laurencekirk housing development.
A public exhibition will be held at Dickson Memorial Hall on Thursday, where developers Kirkwood Homes and builders A&J Stephen will seek feedback on the preparation of a development framework and masterplan for the 278-acre site at Conveth Mains.
Allan Rae, land director at Kirkwood Homes Ltd, said: “Having taken this site through the local development plan process, we are happy to provide the local community with a further opportunity to shape the design and vision for the future development of Laurencekirk through the Conveth Mains site.”
The site is now allocated for future mixed-use development.
John Stephen of A&J Stephen said: “We believe that the site, with its strategic location on to the A90 and excellent public transport links via the train station at Laurencekirk, is well placed to provide a sympathetic, and importantly, planned extension of the town whilst fully respecting and complementing the existing development pattern.”
