The search for missing Arbroath marine Ralph Hebden has focused on a local park.
Police have made a fresh appeal to dog walkers, joggers, drivers and even a canoeist, who were in the Victoria Park area on Monday March 11.
Officers revealed a person using a canoe was seen on the waterfront around 11.50am, near to where Mr Hebden may have gone for a run.
The renewed plea follows an operation to gather information at the town’s Morrisons supermarket, where the serviceman was last seen.
Inspector Ally Robertson said: ‘‘I would appeal to dog walkers, joggers, anyone driving their car in the area and, indeed, a canoeist who was seen at the waterfront in the area of Victoria Park at about 11.50am to come forward.
“If you were there, tell us, don’t assume that you know nothing that could help or didn’t see anything that could be of assistance.
“It is possible you have a piece of information that could help progress inquiries.”
Mr Hebden is 6ft 4in tall and of muscular build, with short-cropped fair hair. He was last seen wearing black trainers, dark blue or black jogging bottoms and a blue fleece, as well as a black beanie hat.
