Emergency services rushed to the High Street in Brechin following reports of a blaze in a kitchen. Two fire engines from Brechin and Montrose attended following the call out at 5.30pm on Thursday. The occupants were treated outside by paramedics. One engine remained outside the first-floor property into the evening, helping to ventilate the upstairs flat and guarding against secondary fires.
