Andover Primary School parents thanked for patience
ByGraeme Strachan
Andover Primary School in Brechin reopened today following a fire.
A text message was sent to parents to let them know the school will be open again as normal.
The local authority also thanked everyone involved for their “patience and cooperation” while a clean-up was completed following Monday’s fire in the changing rooms.
The deep clean took place on Tuesday after the school was left heavily smoke-logged in the fire, which forced the evacuation of staff and pupils.
Pupils were eventually sent home for the day with parents asked to collect their children from the playground.
A joint police and fire investigation has been launched.
No one was hurt.
