The victim was walking in the town’s Carseburn Road when he was approached by two or three men and assaulted around 9pm on Thursday. He was taken to the town’s Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre for treatment. It is understood the man had rib injuries and was allowed away after treatment. Police are now hunting the attackers, and are asking anyone with information to contact 101.
