Young carers in Angus have launched a website which was built using their ideas and suggestions.
Working in conjunction with Zoomba Media, the group created a site which will provide information to young carers on the services which are offered in the area, as well as signposting them to other sources. Professionals are also catered for and it is hoped the launch of the site will aid in the identification of young carers who are hidden in society.
Workers can make referrals to the service online and the website contains a link to a Facebook page with up-to-date news.
Angus Young Carers is part of Arbroath Angus Carers Centre in Arbroath a charity started in 1996 by those who care for a family member.
More than 200 young people are on the books at the centre and it is hoped the site will identify more.
