Emergency services were called to the quarry at Legaston Farm at about 2.45pm. It is understood Mr Brass man was among a group who had been rock climbing. It is thought he fell around 40 feet. Ambulance staff were unable to resuscitate him at the scene. A full investigation of the tragedy, involving police and officials from the Health and Safety Executive, is being carried out.
