One of the jewels in the Angus crown is set to enjoy UK-wide exposure in a new advert.
The new VisitScotland TV advert features footage of a Macbeth performance at Glamis Castle in Angus as one of the many creative events happening in Scotland in 2012.
Angus Council chief executive Richard Stiff said: ”Voiced by television historian Neil Oliver, the new advert will be shown on television and in cinemas until the middle of March and is part of a campaign which will see the spotlight on the Year of Creative Scotland throughout 2012.
”The aim is to encourage potential visitors from within the UK to take a trip to Scotland. Angus included.
”It’s great that one of the many jewels in the Angus crown is getting some of the limelight from this UK-wide campaign by VisitScotland.”
Angus South MSP Graeme Dey said he was delighted to see Glamis Castle featured.
”This is great for the local area and will hopefully help boost tourist numbers to what is already one of Scotland’s best known attractions,” he said.
