Family ‘devastated’ after Arbroath mum Dorothy Findlay found dead at home

A 49-year-old woman has been found dead at her home in Arbroath’s Hepburn Crescent.

Mum-of-three Dorothy Findlay was described as a ”well-liked and well-loved” mum.

Ambulance and police were called to Ms Findlay’s address shortly after 6.15pm on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said: ”We attended an address in Arbroath’s Hepburn Crescent after being contacted by the ambulance service.

”A 49-year-old woman was found deceased at the house. There were no suspicious circumstances, but as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

Her partner John Glen said Ms Findlay was a fun-loving person.

He said: ”She was terrific, well-liked and well-loved. I had known her for about 20 years and we had been together for the last four.

”She had three kids and they are all devastated.”
