A Dundee cinema and arts venue is to be recognised this week for its work in bringing the film industry to the attention of young people.
Dundee Contemporary Arts will receive a Europa Cinema Award for Best Young Audience Activities.
The award comes following the success of the Discovery Film Festival, a showcase of movies from around the world for children and young people.
Now in its eighth year, the event also hosts creative workshops and industry master classes aimed at getting more young people interested in cinema.
Last year was a record-breaker for the festival, with more people attending screenings and events than ever before, including a sold-out opening screening of French animation A Cat in Paris.
The DCA was selected from over 1,057 cinemas for its collaborative work with other venues as well as individual projects.
It will receive the award on Tuesday.
