Emergency services were scrambled to Dundee Airport on Thursday after a light aircraft reported problems with its landing gear.
Fire crews and police were despatched just before midday after the small private plane encountered technical difficulties shortly after takeoff from Perth aerodrome.
Due to prevailing weather conditions, the decision was taken to land at Dundee with a normal touchdown achieved without any intervention from the emergency services.
A statement from Dundee Airport said: ”A private aircraft from Perth aerodrome reported an undercarriage problem and opted to land at Dundee due to the weather. The aircraft landed normally at 12.02.
”In line with standard procedures, the emergency services were on standby at the airport. They were stood down once the aircraft landed safely.”
The plane is now being examined to find the source of the fault.
