Staff at the Remploy factory in Dundee will stage a 24-hour walkout today.
The workers will also join colleagues from around the country at the Scottish Parliament to protest against the company’s programme of closures and sell-offs.
Remploy exists to provide jobs for disabled people, but most of the network is set to close following a review by the UK Government.
The Holyrood protest will coincide with a visit by UK minister for disabled people Esther McVey.
Staff at the company’s Aberdeen factory have been told it will close, with the loss of 15 jobs. The Dundee factory is one of those earmarked for privatisation.
Shop steward Derek Milligan said the workers felt angry at their current situation.
He said: ”We feel we have no option but to take strike action. Everybody is down at the moment because of the uncertainty.”
