A Dundee woman has spoken of her shock after large branches broke off a tree and smashed on to a quiet residential street in Broughty Ferry. Lee Paterson believes the branches, which fell off a tree overhanging the road, could have killed someone. The branches crashed down on Anton Drive, Forthill, after 5pm on Monday, leaving the road blocked and residents frustrated. It is thought the bad weather experienced across Dundee on Monday could be to blame. Mrs Paterson said: “If anyone had been walking past they could have been killed or certainly very badly hurt. “There was bad weather (last night) and I think that could have been the cause. “The road is totally blocked you cannot get a car through. “I’ve contacted the council about getting it all cleared up,” she added.
