A Broughty Ferry councillor has demanded action after the area was hit by flooding.
Forthill Road was left under inches of water after the severe rain.
Labour councillor Laurie Bidwell said the flood water was mixing with sewage from the drainage system on the road, causing a “health hazard”.
He told The Courier: “This area sees flash flooding eight or 10 times a year. It is utterly unacceptable. It is not like other areas where flooding comes from blocked drains.
“The really nasty thing about this is the sewage water coming up, bringing with it things like toilet roll it is a health hazard.”
Mr Bidwell also said the flooding was particularly unpleasant for locals, who have to endure foul smells and a sewage-like “sludge” once the rain subsides.
