The latest addition to the Lochee area is still undergoing part of its makeover, with fences placed around the Jute Mill Woman to protect the statue. The sculpture, which is modelled on 76-year-old Dundee local Stella Carrington, was revealed on Monday at the community area near Bank Street. Fences have now been placed around the statue to allow cement to set, which will lock the Jute Mill Woman in place. A spokesman for Dundee City Council confirmed some finishing touches to the statue are being added. It is expected that the fences will come down on Thursday.
