Family speak of ‘tragic loss’ after death of young Dundee mum

The father of a young mother who died tragically on Sunday said a part of him also died when he found out she was gone.

Demi Louise Smith, 21, was found dead at her Ballantrae Gardens home in the early hours of Sunday morning, and police are not treating her death as suspicious.

She leaves behind two children, five-year-old Oliver and one-year-old August.

Her father Lindsay Smith spoke of the family’s tragic loss.

He said: “Part of me died when she died. It is just tragic. I am just lost for words.”
