Dundee United fans call for even split at Hampden for League Cup final with Celtic

Dundee United fans have already begun the call for a 50/50 allocation of tickets for the League Cup final against Celtic.
Up to 9,000 Arabs travelled to watch their team storm to semi-final victory against Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Message boards have been buzzing with talk of taking tens of thousands to the March 15 showpiece.
One fan wrote: “We took 28,000 to our last two finals… anything less than 50/50 is a disgrace.
Another added: “We will have to fight for our half after comps/sponsors etc.”
Despite being outnumbered more than two to one by Aberdeen’s travelling support on Saturday the Arabs enjoyed the better day and celebrated long into the night.
Fears before the match that trouble might flare proved unfounded.
Mounted officers and a police helicopter could be seen over Hampden Park ahead of the match, however the event passed off relatively peacefully.
Travelling Dons fans dominated trains to Glasgow Queen Street station, significantly outnumbering United’s support.
