High-value theft at Stephen Henderson Jewellers in Dundee

Police swooped on the city centre after an apparent theft at a Dundee jewellers shop on Friday.
A passer-by said at least four marked police cars and CID vehicles descended on Stephen Henderson Jewellers in Nethergate.
It is understood two men entered the store just after 3pm claiming to want to purchase a diamond ring.
As shop assistants showed their products to the men, they grabbed two high-value rings before running away.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that officers are making enquiry into the high-value theft of jewellery from Stephen Henderson Jewellers.
“Officers are currently in the area and enquiries are at an early stage.
“Police are keen to trace two men who were seen running south on Union Street towards Dundee Railway Station.”
One of them is described as being 5ft 11in, of medium build, unshaven and wearing a beanie-style hat. The other man was wearing a body warmer top, grey jogging bottoms and was also wearing a beanie- style hat.
