The cat was taken to Parkside Vets in Dundee by the Scottish SPCA on Thursday night and is expected to make a full recovery. Laura Mather from Parkside Vets said they believe the cat may have been missing for a while and urged his owners to come forward. She said: “The cat has suffered chemical burns due to exposure to the diesel. “He was bathed numerous times to try and remove the diesel. “He is quite a small cat and on the thin side, which indicates he may have been missing for a while. “He is young, possibly one to two years old. He is a friendly cat and has definitely been handled”. The vets think that it is most likely he belongs to someone in the Loons Road area. “He is walking around in his kennel this morning and has had some roast chicken, he was definitely very hungry,” added Laura.
