A Dundee family has been left in shock after a brazen thief stole the keys to their luxury car from their kitchen as they watched TV in the adjacent room.
It is believed the thief entered Gavin Patterson’s Old Craigie Road home between 3.55 and 5.15pm on Sunday.
He sneaked into the kitchen and made off with the keys to Mr Patterson’s Jaguar XF while he and his extended family watched television in the adjacent living room.
The thief even closed the kitchen door behind him before driving off in the car, which had been parked in East Dennison Street.
“He managed to sneak in the back door, which wasn’t locked,” said Mr Patterson.
“My wife and daughters had been in and out of the kitchen all afternoon.
“He could have had a knife or been drugged up. You don’t know what could have happened.”
The registration of the car when stolen was SK58 HBP.
