Tay Road Bridge off-ramp to close for waterfront work
ByRichard Rooney
Drivers face significant delays next week during the latest stage of waterfront roadworks.
The westbound off-ramp of the Tay Bridge will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday and Tuesday to allow for surfacing work on the new southern boulevard.
The westbound ramp serves traffic heading for the West Marketgait, railway station and Perth.
This traffic will instead be routed to the north off-ramp, before following a diversion to the East Port roundabout beside the city’s swimming pool.
Signs warning drivers will be displayed at various points, including the south end of the bridge.
The city council says the closure is being held in off-peak hours and is to ensure public safety and to protect the contractors carrying out the resurfacing work.
