But organisers have now announced the curtains will rise at the Whitehall Theatre on Monday, April 4 although only about a quarter of the 4000 tickets for the week-long production have been sold. Initially they thought the break-even point was 2500 ticket sales but they have revised their calculations.
“Though the Gang would love to see a full house every night, if 2000 tickets are sold, costs will more or less be covered,” said the organisers.
With two weeks to go there are still 3000 tickets to sell, but despite difficult economic times they insisted, “Gang Show 2011 will hit the stage this April.”
The show from Monday to Saturday April 4-9 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets, from £9, are available from several sources, including at www.seatadvisor.eu/whitehall.htm or the theatre box office (0871 702 9486) or city centre box office (1382 434940). Find out more at dundeescoutgangshow.com
