A Dundee pub building will be pulled to the ground if a planning application gets the green light.
The Shand on Dickson Avenue in Menzieshill would be demolished to make way for shops.
The building, which was vacated several months ago, is set to make way for two new retail units.
Property company Locate Developers is behind plans to transform the site. The proposals were well received by some locals, who said they were glad to see the back of the watering hole.
It is not yet known what shops would occupy the spaces, but there are plans to alter the car park and introduce bike racks.
Locate Developments is a commercial property development company specialising in retail, leisure and trade counter development.
A spokeswoman for Punch Taverns, which owns the premises, said, “We are currently exploring options around the future of the Shand and have been approached by a third party interested in developing the site. An application has been submitted and we await the outcome.”
