Police unable to confirm exact time of Hilltown multis demolition

Those intending to watch the collapse of the Hilltown multis on Sunday could be in for a long wait.

Thousands are expected to try to find a vantage point to watch what promises to be a spectacular demolition.

In response to queries from readers wanting to plan their day, The Courier has been seeking confirmation of the start time.

However, Tayside Police said on Tuesday that they could not give an exact time due to safety checks on the day which could affect when all four Alexander Street tower blocks are demolished.

However the police did add that they anticipate the demolition to occur in the late morning or lunchtime. An exclusion zone will be in operation from 10am.
