Police in Dundee are attempting to trace two bogus workmen following similar incidents in the space of a week.
Two pensioners have lost three-figure sums of cash after workmen appeared at their homes claiming they had carried out gardening work.
An 80-year-old woman was conned after a man appeared at her Glamis Drive home last Tuesday.
In a similar incident on Tuesday, an 84-year-old Burn Street resident also parted with cash after a man claimed he had completed some gardening at her property.
Police are not ruling out the possibility both crimes are linked.
The suspect in the Glamis Drive incident is described as being about 5ft 7in, of slim build, with short dark hair. He was clean-shaven and at the time and was wearing a dark jacket.
Police are also keen to trace a large white van that was also seen in the area at the time.
The second suspect involved in the Burn Street incident is described as being between 50-59, about 5ft 3in, of slim build, bald and tanned. At the time he was wearing green all-in-one overalls.

Police are appealing for assistance after a television and money was stolen from the Powrie Bar in Cheviot Crescent from 9-9.30pm on Monday.
They would like to speak to a man who is described as being about 40, stocky, with a shaven head, wearing a white T-shirt and who spoke with a west coast accent.
