Drivers will be asked to use a temporary route into Dundee train station as part of the overnight roadworks on the city’s waterfront.
As illustrated above, the road into the station is being closed and drivers will be directed to a new entry via Greenmarket, with a temporary road being constructed to the station forecourt. Traffic can still exit the station by the junction at Riverside Drive.
The diversions are taking place on six nights in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing works to create a new road layout at the waterfront.
The westbound carriageway of Riverside Drive will be closed overnight (from 7pm to 7am) tonight (Monday), tomorrow and on Friday. The eastbound carriageway will be closed to all traffic overnight on April 26 and 27 and May 4.
As well as changing the line of the road, work will involve realigning the pedestrian crossing.
Diversions for westbound closures are via Riverside roundabout and South Marketgait to Westport roundabout and along Hawkhill and Perth Road.
The eastbound closure of Riverside Drive between the service access roundabout at Tesco and the Riverside roundabout will mean all traffic for the city centre and railway station will be diverted via Perth Road.
Access to Tesco, Discovery Quay and Premier Inn Hotel will be maintained.Find out more at www.dundeewaterfront.com
