Body of young man found near Lochee High Street

A young man was found dead on waste ground in Dundee on Saturday morning.

The 21-year-old, who has not been named by police, was discovered on a patch of land off Lochee High Street at about 9am.

It is not known who alerted the authorities to the grisly discovery, but officers said they are not treating the death as suspicious.

As in all cases of sudden death, a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
